Hazard: The refillable propane gas cylinders can start to leak propane gas. The gas is incredibly flammable which can pose a real fire and explosion hazard if the gas ignites and reacts violently.

Details of the Recall

This recall involves refillable propane cylinders which are typically used with other outdoor appliances – the cylinder brands are Flame King, Little Kamper, and U-Haul. The serial numbers can be found printed on the foot ring of the cylinder, and the brand logo and size is printed right on the front of the cylinder. You can find the serial numbers here.

Remedy
Consumers need to immediately stop using the propane cylinders and contact YSN Imports. You have the options of either getting a replacement refillable propane cylinder or getting a full refund for the malfunctioning product you purchased.

Injuries/Incidents
The company has received two reports which state that the connecting valve starts to unscrew from the cylinder and can leak gas. There have been no injuries reported.

Sold At
The refillable propane cylinder is sold at Ace Hardware, Home Depot, Kamps, Propane Depot, U-Haul and other stores nationwide. You can also purchase the refillable propane tanks on Amazon.com and other websites. They were sold from November 2013 through September 2016 for about $10 – $15.
