Van Accident on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) 8-3-2017 Lawsuit
Van Hits Seven Vehicles on PCH Before Sliding Onto the Beach
Our law firm is currently investigating the possibility of lawsuits against all defendants in connection with the accident described below.
On August 3, 2017, a white van struck seven vehicles along the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) before it veered and crashed into the beach near the border of Ventura and LA County. The van’s driver then exited his vehicle and hid from the authorities in the rocks until he was found and arrested at night.
The authorities were alerted of this reckless driver who struck several parked cars before hitting moving ones and tumbled down into the sand. The driver then got out of his vehicle and hid among the rocks of the beach until authorities found him and arrested him.
One of the victims had a minor injury, but five other people involved in the accident were hospitalized because they had minor to moderate injuries which required medical attention.
The Normandie Law Firm
The Normandie Law Firm understands that car accidents can be incredibly traumatic experiences for everyone involved in the accident. While most car accidents hardly leave a dent, there are still many accidents which leave those involved seriously injured and require immediate medical attention. Trying to handle your car accident claim on your own can be difficult and will only increase the amount of stress you carry because of the accident. What’s worse is that you run the risk of missing out on compensation which can go a long way in paying the high medical bills or property damage which you suffered.
The Normandie Law Firm is here to ensure that you focus on recovering from your injuries, and not worry about all of the intricacies associated with personal injury law nor deal with the headache that comes with talking to insurance companies. As your car accident attorneys, we will help you through every step of the way and provide to you the maximum amount of damages which you deserve.
What Damages Are Available to You?
“Damages” is the term for the monetary compensation you can receive as a result of the accident. The damages you receive can help pay for bodily injury, pain and suffering, lost wages, disability, and property damage. The costs associated with all of these can really add up, and so it is of the utmost importance that you get the maximum compensation to help cover those costs.
- Bodily Injury: If the injuries that you received from the car accident required medical attention, the compensation you receive for your bodily injuries can help cover the costs of the medical bills associated with your injuries.
- Disability & Changes to Lifestyle: If your injuries caused temporary or permanent disability and you require a lifestyle change (for example, a ramp which leads to and from your door to access the front door), the compensation you receive can help pay for the installation.
- Lost Wages: Your injuries may have forced you to miss work. You can get compensated for the hours you were forced to miss at your regular rate of pay.
- Property Damage: You don’t have to be in a car for a car accident to affect you. If the accident damaged your property, you can get compensated for the repair or replacement of your property.
