In order to get a copy of a traffic collision report from the Hawthorn Police Department, you must show a valid identification, and a picture ID (Drivers’ License, State I.D., Passport, or DMV Printout all suffice).
The Hawthorne P.D. does not charge for most of their reports.
ALL traffic accident reports (with a few exceptions) can be obtained by using their online system. If the report involves a fatality, minor, or an arrest, please contact the Records Bureau before you request the report to verify the availability of the report.
All reports are reviewed and approved for release, which takes a minimum of fourteen (14) business day. So before you search for a report, please allow the allotted time.
There is a convenience fee $10.00 that will be added to the cost of the report.
