The Long Beach Police Department is looking for any additional victims of a gardener who was accused of sexually assaulting women; this includes two incidents of the suspect targeting elderly women.
The suspect has been identified as Meliton Santoyo Jaramillo, 38, of Norwalk. He was arrested on Monday, April 8, 2024 in La Mirada, CA and booked into the Long Beach City Jail; he faces three counts of sexual battery. Santoyo Jaramillo is being held without bail.
He has been accused in three different incidents, all of which occurred near the intersection of Bellflower Boulevard and Wardlow Road in Long Beach. Two of these incidents occurred in August 2023, in which he targeted two elderly females. The third incident occurred in late February 2024, in which he targeted a female adult.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the suspect was working as a gardener for the victims in each of the incidents. The authorities believe that there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to contact them as soon as possible.
