What is CRPS?
Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, or CRPS for short, is a severe neuroinflammatory disorder usually triggered by an injury to the nervous system. The pain experienced by sufferers of a CRPS injury is often more severe than the pain of the initial injury. There is no cure for CRPS, and the only treatment is through regular medical visits, which can lead to significant financial stress. There are four main symptoms of CRPS, and can be recognized as follows:

Other lesser symptoms of CRPS include:
- Abnormal hair or nail growth
- Unusual skin color changes
- Pain from something that should not cause pain like the touch of clothing or a shower
- Limited range of motion
- Motor function disorders like paralysis or dystonia (abnormal contraction of muscles)
- The fading and resurgence of symptoms
