Some of the Injuries that Victims Could Suffer in Bus v. Train Crashes

Some examples of the injurie that victims could suffer include the following:
- Head injuries (concussions)
- Traumatic brain injuries
- Shoulder injuries

These injuries could require extensive treatment to treat, and some could lead to temporary or permanent disability. Some of these injuries could ultimately be fatal. Review of Possible Causes of Bus v. Train Accidents
Although the crash remains under investigation, preliminary reports show that it was the bus that caused the incident. Possible causes can include the following: bus driver having a medical emergency, bus driver recklessness (such as speeding, failing to yield when turning left, ignoring traffic signals, ignoring train warnings, etc.), driving under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or prescription medication, driving while fatigued (falling asleep at the wheel), bus mechanical failure or malfunction, and more.
Is USC Liable for the Harm Caused by the Accident?
The private university offers students, faculty, and others with a network of free buses that serv the main campus, other campuses, the parking enter, nearby neighborhoods, and more. Buses are considered common carriers; this means that owners/operators owe their passengers the highest duty of care. In other words, USC could be strictly liable for any injuries suffered by their bus passengers. Can USC be liable for the injuries suffered by the train passengers? If the authorities ultimately determine that the accident was caused by negligence on USC’s part, then train passengers could sue USC. However, it is also important to note that LA Metro Trains are common carriers, so they could also be sued by their passengers under some circumstances.
