Hazard: The water dispensers, when activated, can easily heat up due to a malfunction with the cooling system. The overheating can cause the dispensers to smoke, which can pose a fire threat and burn hazards.

Details of the Recall
The recall of water coolers involves Nestle Waters AccuPure floor standing water filtration system dispenser. They are exactly 44.6 inches in height and 12.5 inches in width. The AccuPure units connect to the owner’s plumbing system, draw and filter water from the local water system, and then dispenses a jet of water which can be either cool or heated. The front panels of the system have an “AccuPure” logo and a phosphorescent clock display. The model number can be found on the back of the dispenser scripted onto a white sticker.
Remedy
Owners of the AccuPure water dispenser should unplug the water dispenser immediately and cease any future use. Nestlé Waters is contacting all those with a unit in order to directly schedule the installation of the replacement unit, if the owner wants one. If you, the consumer of the AccuPure, have any questions, you should contact Nestlé Water.
Injuries/Incidents
Nestle Waters has thus received 15 reports of the units overheating, including seven reports of the AccuPure units smoking or combusting in flame. There have been no injuries reported.
Sold At
The units were sold and rented to businesses across the country from April 2011 through April 2017 in part with individual contracts made with Nestlé Waters. Nestlé does not provide these units in retail. The units that were dispensed were limited and purchased by customers for around $700 and $900.
